The dreams of schilling farms

Faith Ringgold-Inspired Quilts

What was funded: Quilt Materials Participants: Schilling Farms Elementary Pre K-5th Grade Students Project Coordinator: Andrea Ballenger and Adeline White

Students were asked to think about their dreams; specifically, what they want to be when they grow up or a place they have always wanted to go. Younger students planned their ideas on sketch paper, while older students used their iPads to create plans and collect images to help them draw their compositions. All students created the pieces that are a part of the Faith Ringgold inspired project, and everyone had a story to tell.

All of the work was shown at a Fine Arts Night hosted at Schilling Farms Elementary School.
